The 4X Pro Tour World Series started 2 weeks ago in Germany, but Tomas Slavik wasn’t able to participate in the race because it conflicted with Down Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. Slavik jumped in to the series in the 2nd round in Poland last week where he was able to smash it in qualifying and in the finals, too and took home his first fourcross win of the season. “Foucross is for me still a matter of heart and I really love this sport… it was a shame that the first round of the 4X Pro Tour in Germany took place at the same time as Down Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. Even though I was in Mexico, I was still following all the action, riders and results in between my trainings and racing in Mexico. I was really looking forward to Poland, because the venue has such a long history and it’s just perfect for 4X racing. It’s always hard to jump from the “big bike” to a “small bike” in a short period of time, but it felt really good anyway. The track was shaped perfectly and I was ready to go. I was really having a blast, you could see it on my face and in my riding - I just loved the conditions. In qualifying, I went maybe a little bit too fast and almost lost it in the last turn, but saved it and went for 1st place. In the final run I did the holeshot, took 1st place and held it until the finish line. Happy that racing turned out so good for me this weekend and I am really looking forward to the next stop in Fort William, which is one of my favorite places to race at. Good times ahead! “
