Who can get the update?
All GHOST eBikes running the latest Bosch Performance Line CX motor (BDU38).
Not sure if your bike qualifies? Check the motor code — BDU 38 = You're good to go.
How to install the update:
Open the Bosch eBike Flow App
Connect your GHOST eBike
The update will show up automatically (from July 2025)
Install it — and rip
Heads-up:
You’ll need the Bosch Smart System and BDU 38 motor — no exceptions.
One more thing:
More power = more wear.
Stronger output means more strain on your components and possibly shorter range.
If you're pushing harder, be ready for some extra maintenance.
The upgrade is optional — but hey, no guts, no glory.
Default performance without the upgrade:
