UCI MTB World Cup Lenzerheide
From Friday to Sunday, the MTB elite met for a showdown in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
The World Cup Cross Country course, also known as Nino's Gold Trail, is considered by the top female riders to be technically demanding and physically very challenging. However, the many overtaking opportunities along the track provide the best conditions for exciting races and entertainment for spectators along the route. This year there were slight adjustments to the course, the ascent now leads over a flowline and thus includes technical and steep passages.
Our girls started on Friday with the XCC competition - the short race distance. Anne Terpstra confirms her impressive form of the last weeks and rides to a strong 6th place. Nicole Koller rides on place 16, Caro and Nadine complete our GFRT on places 24. and 28.
In the XCO, Anne Terpstra rides to a strong 5th place, with her Danish teammate Caroline Bohé completing the top 10. Nicole Koller in 22nd place and Nadine Rieder in 32nd place also collect important points for the team ranking. In the Olympic (long) race distance of the U23 women, Finja Lipp rides to 15th place.
Our girls can extend their lead in the team ranking already next weekend. The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup will stop in Vallnord, Andorra.
