You can install the update for your Bosch Performance Line CX motor directly via the Bosch eBike Flow App.
What does the 2026 update bring?

This upgrade pushes your CX motor even further – perfect for steep climbs, technical sections, and aggressive trail riding.

Who is the update for?
All GHOST eBikes equipped with the latest Bosch Performance Line CX motor (BDU38) within the Smart System.

How to install the update (Flow App)
No dealer visit needed – it’s all done digitally:
Open the Bosch eBike Flow App
Connect your GHOST eBike
The update will appear automatically (starting May 1, 2026)
Start the download and install
Done – hit the trail
Important:
• Make sure your battery is sufficiently charged
• Keep a stable Bluetooth connection
• Do not turn off the bike during the update
What to keep in mind
More power also means more stress on components:
• Increased wear on drivetrain parts
• Potentially reduced range under aggressive riding
If you use the extra power, make sure your setup can handle it.
Is it mandatory?
No – it’s completely optional
If you prefer your current setup, you can keep riding as usual.
