Participation Terms and Conditions for the "Pack & Bike – Your Bike, Your Backpack, Your Adventure!" Cooperation of GHOST-Bikes GmbH with Deuter Sport GmbH 2025
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions of participation regulate the terms and the process of the "Pack & Bike – Your Bike, Your Backpack, Your Adventure!" promotion, which is organized by GHOST-Bikes GmbH in cooperation with Deuter Sport GmbH.
As part of this promotion, after purchasing a GHOST promotional bike of the Kato or Lanao models from stationary GHOST dealers in Germany or in the GHOST online shop (www.ghost-bikes.com), participants have the opportunity to order a deuter school or protector backpack of the Scula, Flyt, Cotogy, and Attack models, with a value of €160 to €220, free of charge via an exclusive Deuter-code.
This promotion will take place from 14.04.2025 until 27.06.2025.
By participating in this promotion, the participant fully accepts these terms and conditions of participation.
Only individuals aged 18 and over are eligible to participate.
2. Organizer
The organizers of this promotion are:
• GHOST-Bikes GmbH, An der Tongrube 3, 95652 Waldsassen, Germany (referred to below as „GHOST“)
• Deuter Sport GmbH, Daimlerstraße 23, 86368 Gersthofen, Germany (referred to below as „deuter“)
3. Eligibility for participation
Eligibility to participate is limited exclusively to natural persons who are at least 18 years old and have a permanent residence in Germany.
The deuter-code is only valid for redemption with a delivery address within Germany
Not eligible to participate:
• Commercial participants, in particular wholesalers, retailers and companies
• Persons who participate on behalf of third parties or through automated processes
• Employees of GHOST-Bikes GmbH, Deuter Sport GmbH and their direct family members
• Purchases through online auction platforms
• Purchases of second-hand bikes
Participation is limited to one redemption per person. Multiple entries will result in exclusion from the promotion.
The offer does not apply to leased bikes. JobRad orders are excluded.
4. Mechanism of the promotion
With the purchase of a GHOST promotional bike (Kato or Lanao models), buyers receive a free deuter school or protector backpack (with a retail value of €160 - €220).
Procedure:
1. After purchasing an eligible bike, the participant will receive a deuter-code. For orders placed via the GHOST online shop www.ghost-bikes.com, the deuter-code will be sent directly to the participant via email, automatically alongside the order confirmation, immediately after the purchase. When purchasing from a local GHOST dealer in Germany, the dealer will register the participant together with them by entering the frame number and the participant's email address. The deuter-code will be emailed to the provided email address.
2. The deuter-code can be redeemed within the promotional period on the deuter website. https://www.deuter.com/de-de/deuter/ghost-x-deuter
3. Once the code has been successfully entered, the free backpack order will be placed.
4. The shipping costs for sending the deuter backpack, amounting to approximately 5 Euros, are to be paid by the participant in advance via PayPal, credit card (Visa or Mastercard), or Sofortüberweisung (instant bank transfer), unless otherwise specified. The shipping costs will be refunded by deuter as quickly as possible or within the promotion period to the participant's original payment method. If the participant orders an additional item (value < €50) along with the school or protector backpack, the shipping costs will not be refunded.
Exclusion in case of return:
• In the event that the bike is returned or exchanged within 30 days, the claim to the free backpack is forfeited.
• If the backpack has already been shipped, it must be returned to deuter unused and in its original packaging. Otherwise, deuter reserves the right to charge for the backpack.
5. Warranty and liability
• The statutory warranty rights apply exclusively to the purchased bike, not to the complimentary item (backpack).
• If the backpack has defects, deuter is the point of contact for complaints. The deuter warranty terms and conditions apply.
• GHOST and deuter are only liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. For simple negligence, the organizers are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations (cardinal duties).
• Liability for technical problems that make participation impossible is excluded.
6. Right of cancellation / return of the complimentary item
• Participants have a statutory 14-day right of cancellation for backpacks ordered online.
• The cancellation notice must be sent in writing to deuter.
• Shipping costs already paid will only be refunded if no other item (worth less than €50) was included in the same order process.
7. Data Protection
GHOST processes personal data in accordance with Article 4 of the GDPR – (name, first name, email address, and bike ID) exclusively for the purpose of processing the campaign.
The data will not be passed on to third parties – with the exception of associated processors in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR – nor within the Accell Group. The aforementioned data will be automatically and irrevocably deleted after the purpose for processing ceases to exist and any retention periods have expired.

An objection according to Art. 21 GDPR or the further assertion of data subject rights can be addressed at any time to the data protection officer (Dipl.-Ing. Lars Ebertz, lars@ebertz-datenschutz.de) of GHOST-Bikes GmbH.
GHOST and deuter are each independently responsible for compliance with any relevant data protection regulations and assure that they will comply with them.
8. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction
• German law shall apply exclusively, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
• The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this promotion is the registered office of GHOST-Bikes GmbH.
9. Early termination and exclusion of participants
• GHOST and deuter reserve the right to terminate the promotion prematurely for important reasons. Such a reason exists in particular if unforeseen circumstances occur that make a planned execution impossible.
• Participants who violate the terms and conditions of participation or attempt to manipulate the process of the promotion will be immediately excluded from participation.
• In case of a justified suspicion of misuse, GHOST and deuter reserve the right to verify the identity of the participant.
10. Severability Clause
Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions of participation be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. An invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that comes closest to the economic purpose of the original provision.
